First visit tips
Going to a church for the first time
A few small things can make the first visit feel easier. Take them as a friend's advice, not a checklist you have to finish.
- Arrive about 10 minutes earlyWalking in a little ahead of the service lets you find a seat, get your bearings, and settle in before things begin.
- Sit where you feel comfortableSit near the front, the back, or the aisle. There is no wrong seat, and you can move if you want to.
- Ask about a new believers classMany churches offer a class for people who are new to faith. It is a good, low-pressure way to meet others and ask questions.
- Plan on more than one visitIt often takes a couple of visits to know whether a church feels like the right fit. One Sunday does not have to decide it.
