A Comfortable Place to Start
Walking into an unfamiliar church for the first time can feel uncertain. You may not know what to expect, who will greet you, or whether the atmosphere will feel right. Chyelp was built with that feeling in mind.
Before you walk through the door, you can see what a church offers. Every listing is built from real visits, using the boxes that visitors actually checked. Nothing is ranked, graded, or criticized, so you can look at the picture as it is and decide for yourself where you feel comfortable.
Chyelp does not claim that any one church is the best. It simply helps you take the pressure off a blind choice, so you can start your journey with a little more confidence and a clearer sense of what is there.
Sixteen Boxes, Not Grades
Chyelp uses a simple checklist of 16 boxes instead of stars or letter grades. After a visit, the person who went checks the boxes that matched what they actually saw at that church. Nothing else is added, and nothing is ranked.
Only checked boxes show
Each church listing displays just the boxes that were checked. Unchecked boxes stay hidden, so a listing reflects what visitors observed, not what was missing.
Listings grow with each visit
If someone visits the same church again and sees something new, they can add those checks. A listing builds up over time from real visits.
No stars, grades, or negative comments
Churches are never rated, graded, or criticized on Chyelp. The goal is to help new people feel at ease, knowing what a church offers before they walk through the door.

From Visit to Listing
Every church on Chyelp starts with a real visit. Here is how a visit becomes a listing, and why you can trust what appears there. Every submission is reviewed by our team before anything is posted.
-
1
Visit a church and click the boxes you saw
Attend a service and click only the items from the 16-point checklist that you actually observed.
-
2
Submit the church name, address, and service times
Send the church's details and your checked boxes through the Add a Church page.
-
3
Our team reviews every submission
The Chyelp team checks each submission before it goes anywhere near a public listing.
-
4
Approved checks post to the church listing
Once approved, the checked boxes appear on the church's listing, and repeat visits can add new checks over time.
